On a splendid late summer afternoon the ARR's Seward based Grandview Cruise Train rolls south across the Snow River about 15 miles from its destination at the end of the ARR mainline in Seward. The train is transporting visitors from Anchorage 114 miles to the origin point of the railroad where it will pull right up to the dock to meet a Norwegian Cruise Lines vessel so the guest may begin the seagoing portion of their adventure.
