On March 23, 2005, we found the Pickens Railway at the Norfolk Southern interchange in downtown Anderson working with two of their General Electric U18Bs working long hood forward.
The railroad took delivery of eight former CSX GE U18Bs to run their rail lines in Anderson, South Carolina. 9504 was built in 1973 for Seaboard Coast Line as number 328. For CSX, it was originally number 1926 and then CSXT 9504. Pickens bought either of these U18Bs from CSX in the early 2000s.
