A Kodak TRI-X Pan view of the 904 (ex-PRR/PC 4901) northbound near the century mark, providing the muscle for a Metroliner. The Budd m.u. cars by this time were proving to be unreliable, and the GG-1s were placed at their head, since the newer E-60s were not allowed to run at 100 mph. The 904/4901 was built by PRR/Westinghouse in May, 1940, and was the lead locomotive of the GG-1 doubleheader that pulled Robert F. Kennedy's funeral train from New York to Washington on June 8, 1968.
