GMD-1 No 51216 shunts empty carriages at Luyano in Havana in 2003. I believe this loco was formerly CN 1181. Are these locos still working in Cuba?
After being sold to a shortline in rural Saskatchewan, CN 1440 sits dead and drained under clear skies. A couple of weeks later it was stripped down for parts/scrapped.
GMD-1 no. 1001 with A-1-A trucks idles at Thornton Yard in Pt. Mann, BC near Vancouver. CN has gotten a lot of miles off these late 50s era workhorses.
