After meeting a northbound at Broughton, BNSF quad 6 locomotive quickly picks up speed with a stacked train out of East Thomas Yard in Birmingham bound for Fairburn, GA.

Priority train I125 takes the mainline south with a heavy consist. With two GE's on the point, the 165 cars test their power as the locomotives tow them up the grade into Roanoke.

This empty ballast train will be tied down for the night in the siding in Roanoke. The conductor separated the train at the grade crossing so it wouldn't block traffic.
