I have always appreciated the freedom those who model in 1/1 scale enjoy. If you done an HO model with paint like that it would be greeted with "tsk tsk" reaction. Paint a real one like that, and who can argue? I've always thought there is probably some jokester who works at a diesel paint shop who brings in some cans of Rustoleum to paint a snow plow the wrong color just to mess with rivet counters!
