Technically, this is a "summertime" photo....LOL! I recall being in exactly the same spot around 24 September of 2009 and witnessing a very similar scene, except with a K-36 on a regular passenger run. I was amazed that it could snow like that three days after the equinox. I remember thinking that the open gondola must have been a pretty sporty ride that day! The snow in your shot looks even more intense.....and a week earlier in the calendar. Cumbres Pass is a very unique place.
