Odd looking McCloud box car, with twin plug doors, odd reinforced end walls and angled roof.

This looks to be a variation of a boxcar made by Thrall. The Thrall all door boxcar was a lumber carrying car that made access easier to forklifts at lumber yards by having 4 plug doors along each side of the car. A little Google search reveals the McLoud River rr version may have only had 2 plug doors rather than all 4. The generous size of those doors looks like forklifts could still unload the car at a dock with relative ease. I used to service forklifts and one of the lumber facilities I worked had to use a boxcar special forklift with short counterweight to negotiate turning at a regular size door opening. They ended up damaging a lot of plywood and chip board when they had to get out of a car with a single door. So these wide double doors were definitely an improvement. Very nice image.

Update- googled McCloud Thrall all door boxcar. One image says the McCloud cars were ex-US Plywood all door cars rebuilt into standard cars.
