Ah, the "60" Series - perhaps better known as the "We know we screwed up big time with the '50' Series, so here's one with an engine that's up to the horsepower output" Series. Of course, by then the pre-production microprocessor GEs were already appearing, and the writing was on the wall. EMD's days as number one were numbered.
