I think the common term for the second vehicle is Self Propelled Artillery, or "SPA," specifically an M-109 variant. Might also be an artillery "gun" as opposed to "howitzer," the former term being applied to long-barreled weapons and the latter term being applied to short-barrelled weapons. That sucker looks a little long for a "howitzer" to me. Here's some good history on the M-109 series history:

The tank's designation is M1A2, probably M1A1, and the howitzer is probably M109A5. No guarantees, tho.
