That had to be fun racing along at track speed. I remember the B&O having a speeder shed to house them near Easton, Ohio. More than once us kids would go down and talk to the track crew when they brought out their speeder plus a trailing car to hold supplies. They were usually gone most of the day and returned around four PM to put it back in the shed.

Back in the 60's we always referred to these as "Putt-Putt Cars".
