When I was stationed in Boston, (early 1970s) THIS was just about my FAVORITE train-watching spot. The UA Turbos used to really "FLY" through here as it was far enough from Rte 128 to get good speed built up. The early MBTA commuter trains were pretty interesting too, if not a bit "scruffy" with their eclectic collection of equipment. Looking at this image, SO MUCH has changed. IF I recall correctly, the Stoughton branch was single track then.
