Wonderful comments. While I have seen photos of this station, this is the first and only photo that I have seen with people on the platform. This is documentation of a rare, rare event.

Beautiful photo Dennis - glad to be friends with you on Facebook now. I am curious - is this station still closed and verboten to civilians even now? If so - why the stop? Would like to know more about this "crown jewel of it's hidden treasures.." and why this stop was such a special one. Still, beautiful photo - PCA vote from me.

Fascinating photo and write-up, Dennis. Thanks and I hope you keep them coming.

John, the people are there because the MTA holds periodic tours of Old City Hall Station. The station has been closed to passenger service since 1945.

Very nice Dennis. A unique and beautiful take on this old gem!

Any hopes of cleaning & restoring these catacombs? Somewhere there are photos of this area when it was used. Why is this area not used?

Superb, as usual Dennis.
