How is it that the ground to the immediate left of the units has no snow cover, yet the evidence of the blizzard is everywhere else in the photo...?

That snow is packed in! Might take awhile to remove.

Nose plowing, Get ur dun. Great shot.

Perhaps there is no snow near the locos because the area was sheltered by the building seen behind the locos? It seems to be a bit windy judging by the snow blowing of the shovel!

Wow !

I never even herd of the Bloomer Line before! I am glad that somebody is preserving the CB&Q colors,

I really like that paint job. I was just trying to think what it reminded me of, and the comments have just provided me the answer.

Neat shot Steve.

Would like to see her after all that is gone. Hard to believe there would be no damage like to the ditch lights, railings, etc. That snow looks hard as a rock.
Also to answer the question about the missing snow to the left, I live about an hour from this location and temps Thursday and Friday were warm enough to allow quite a bit of melting. We also received regular rain Friday which helped quite a bit where it wasn't piled. I know it is hard to believe after below zero temps just 3 days before, but it's true.

A neat little operation with well-kept power.
