Looks like EMD's by the looks of the fuel tanks
|
Thy look like a couple of SD70ACe's...
|
I think you all are spot on. Judging by the narrow window area, Aces win.

They are for BHP. They were built in Muncie.

Sean....any photos of the actual loading or of the ship from other angles?
|
To the UAE (United Arab Emirates)? They have 7 units on order for a new 266 km mineral railway. I believe 3 have been delivered.
|
I do have some shots at another angle. Sadly I couldn't watch them load. I was on a boat tour of the naval yard. This was just lucky timing. Ill try and upload one of the others showing more of the boat if its accepted.

Looks like he took on alittle ballast on the Starboard side, interesting!.Would like to watch that Operation...Thanks.
|
I just submitted another from a different angle, so we will see if its accepted. The side of the engine has EMDX 3028 painted on. Also, the new angle shows that there is already one onboard the ship, so it looks like three total shipped off that day.

Thanks Sean.

I have a video in the queue now of loading an SD40 on one of our ships. If accepted, I'll come back here and post a link to it.

Here is a link to a wide screen video of loading locos in Houston. Process would be similar as above. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K95UBUJ8Zg0&feature=youtu.be
