As I recall, those evergreen trees are on the South side of the tracks in Dickerson, which would make this train East-bound. Besides, ALMOST no loaded coal trains ever move westbound on this line. SORRY, just wanted to set the record straight.

Rich, you are indeed correct. It was headed East bound, and I was having a geograhically challenging day yesterday. I was facing South towards Poolesville, where my family lives. The SD50 was shoving the coal Eastbound. No need to apologize. I'm surprised I made the error, because I am actually good at land nav.
