The Bondo Flyer! The nose is mostly bondo which you can't see until you get up close. Coe Rail operated this unit on the Fort Worth & Western back in 2000 and after they were told by the FRA not to operate it backwards in passenger service, did it anyways and ran into a cut of standing cars damaging the back end and almost rolling it over. You can see some damage on the back corner.

North Texas railfans will remember this unit from the "Bondo Flyer" era of the Fort Worth & Western. It still shows damage on its rear end from a collision on March 15, 2000.

You are not kidding, you can see the body filler, cracking. Wonder why NS wanted this old girl. It would be nice is the miracle workers at the shops would paint her in NW or Southern Railway colors. But I know it will be painted in the Thoroughbred scheme. And nothing is wron with that. Seeing the F9A and B unit together at Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum's 1st Railfest in 2011 was nice to see up close and get some great detail shots.

If anybody could resurrect this old girl, then surely NS's "Magicians" at Altoona can !
