Awesome shot David! The CSX-B painted leader goes nicely with the storm clouds.

Old school Loachapoka! As soon as I saw the thumbnail I knew what I was looking at!

Dido to JL's comment, I knew where this was once I saw the thumbnail too. Great shot at a classic location along the Western Railway of Alabama mainline.

Great shot David. All of us recent Auburn alumni have frequented the dirt road in Loachapoka. The tropical storm clouds are an interesting geographic/climatology feature also.

Was out there this afternoon shooting Q619, amazing that almost nothing in this scene (other than the motive power) has changed at all in 25 years. Well the do keep the weeds along the tracks cut more now.

That probably can't last too many more years, with the growth of residential subdivisions on Auburn's west side getting closer and closer. During the years I lived in Loachapoka, Willow Creek (across AL14 from Webster Road) was the last big residential area as you drove west from Auburn. Spent well over 20 years in Auburn/Loachapoka. Been gone 11, but really wish I had stayed.
