Nice, there aren't nearly enough recent photos of this line. Do they still go all the way through to Gatineau now that the paper mill has closed? Is there any other business in the city?

Thanks guys ! The only two remaining customers on this line was at Thurso and Buckingham, the plant at Gatineau still closed. The Gatineau switcher work the branch at Buckingham and the plant at Thurso and take cars for Montreal as train 738 to Thurso for a meet with 739. The engines are swapped here and return to their respective terminals.

The QG was getting lots of wind generator loads out of Trois Rivieres. I don't know if they still do. These loads were interchanged in Montreal and continued on to the US Midwest. They also served the Bridgestone plant via the CN interchange at Joliette, all this using CP tracks to St-Gabriel de Brandon. You can see this operation if you park either at the Maxi grocery store or Liquor store parking lots.
