I remember seeing this unit on the Seattle-Vancouver "International", arriving in Vancouver during the winter of 1970-71. Was it regularly assigned to this train at some point, or was this just a temporary pinch-hit?

I understand this was an ill fated "economy" scheme chosen by management prior to both the BN merger and AMTRAK. It's basically the SP&S brownish Pullman green. Anyone know what the proposed scheme for SP&S's last order (EMD GP38s) looked like? They ended up being delivered as one of the first orders of new lokies in BN green.
