Excellent shot in the old D&RGW yard adjacent to the PDM mill. It appears to be circa 1987-88 when pairs (or in this case a trio) of classic GP30's ran all of the D&RGW locals along the Wasatch Front. It appears the crew had a few air dumps on the head end to drop rip rap somewhere along the way east of Provo. Today the old yard is only used by the UP for storage of graffiti tagged box cars and surplus hopper cars. UP runs a switch job up the Tintic on Thursday mornings to Spanish Fork and return. So much has changed and your slide reminds us of what once was along D&RGW rails in Utah Valley. Thanks for posting this great memory.

Forgot to mention one more item. If this photo was shot prior to 1990 it is D&RGW train #664. After that, it would be SP's UT08L.

I saw a slide offered on epay a few days ago and it had a date of 8-91 but don't remember if it was a dup slide or not.
