Any thoughts on what the spattering all over it is?
Too regular a pattern direction to be bird droppings: looks like it all came from one direction.

An odd splash pattern, for sure. I don't think birds did that either, but I am at a loss as to what it is otherwise. Very nice photo, as usual, T
