Posted by cmdrflake on July 9, 2010  Here we have the SD50 about to undergo a lobotomy, She is now a "new" SD40E. They put out new SD40Es and GP38-3s about three times a month. Posted by Bryan Malone on July 15, 2010  Except this is a SD60, not SD50, and most likely not destined to be a SD40E. There is concurrently a SD60E rebuild program, with the units (expected) to be numbered 6850+. Not familiar with all the details of the project though. Just speculation about this particular unit.
