The horn is a Leslie RS3L at one time it was the most popular horn in North America before the Nathan K5LA took over the #1 spot in the 1980's. Im guessing this horn is a collectors horn since it doesn't really match this locomotive and since you claim it was loud which probably means its well cared for and hitting on all 3 bells unlike a horn that would be in revenue service on a Class 1 that sees little maintence in its entire life
