Posted by Peter MacCauley on January 1, 2009  If the new cars had stayed inside the plant the first job for the decal crew in the new year would have been to remark all of the build and QUALIFICATION dates. Per AAR rule, the day (year) the new car leaves the plant is the year it was built.
