Glad to see that "BIG BERTHA" is all right. I have been looking closely at Lake State Railway photos for some time and thought that "THE BLUE DEVIL" was the only named ALCO ! Naming an engine is a form of the human side of railroading ! In Eastern Kentucky owner operators of Coal Buckets (large dump trucks) name their rigs, and even clean and polish them to drive in local parades.
