The extra large fuel/water tank and the cut-out at the bottom edge of the pilot, for the now-missing steam line, mark the 590 as one of Lehigh Valley's dual service FPA2s. Other roads that had these dual-service Alco-GE designed cabs were B&O, CN, CP, GN (ex-demos), L&N, MP and the NdeM and FdelP in Mexico.
