Concrete? Why?

Three Dash-7s, a Dash-8, a rebuilt SD45, and an SD50 for a local???? That's plenty of power, don't you think? Either way, those B30s and C30s are becoming increasingly rare, and photos of them don't come very often. Neat Shot :)

Concrete was chosen in this area for several reasons....North Florida has a high tie rot, so wood ties don't have a long life cycle. The traffic mix (freight + passenger), as well as the roadbed make this area near ideal for concrete ties.
The local goes from Waycross to Busch Yard in Jacksonville. The local becomes a power ferry betwwen WAX and JAX.
