Back in Beantown
Since late 2023, CSX has periodically been running overnight "dirty dirt" trains of contaminated soil out of the semi-abandoned Beacon Park Yard in Allston. After encountering an issue with one of its spine cars in the early morning of August 5th, 2024, Y201, the dirty dirt train, tied down for the night. This made for one of the rare instances of daylight CSX ops in Boston when Y101 was tasked with running the lone GP40-2 back to Framingham.
