Remarks & Notes
Maintenance Out of the Way: While the Berkeley Heights Siding was a 2-switch passing siding for trains up into the early 1980s, since then, it has been relegated to being used for the occasional storage of maintenance equipment. Considering its short length, it was not favored to be interlocked and now features a switch at the west end only. Here, NJT 6431 from New York Penn Station to Gladstone, NJ curves into the station and around stored equipment.
