Remarks & Notes
On the day exactly 125 years after the inauguration of the Oensingen-Balsthal Railway (OeBB), both the scheduled freight train and an additional extra freight train were run with steam on this day. SBB Historic's “Mallet” Ed 2x2/2 # 196, built in 1893 by Maffei in Munich for the Swiss Central Railway (SCB) and now stationed in Balsthal, was used. Historic freight wagons from the Koblenz Depot and Rail Vehicles Association (DSF) were brought in especially for the train. Behind the locomotive, the four-axle tank wagon from Ed. Waldburger for “Spurt” quality gasoline P # 538107 built in 1965 (DSF Zas 33 85 786 3302-0), then the two-axle mail wagon Z2 # 50 85 90-33 162-7 (DSF), the sliding wall car Hbils-vy # 21 85 237 0464-9 from OeBB Historic and the private car of the Feldschlösschen brewery Lgmqs # 566036 (40 85 9513 140-4) built in 1962 loaded with 4 roadable beer tank containers (DSF). The train is between Oensingen and Klus bound for Balsthal.
