Wisconsin Central train 47 lets ’er rip departing Duplainville, Wisconsin, late on the afternoon of April 6, 1989. For what seemed like years (it was a few), WC power was dominated by “Green Weenies” from the Burlington Northern. I actually did get kind of tired shooting these big 20-cylinder machines in various shades of Cascade green, and welcomed the chosen ones that emerged from the paint shop in new company colors. I guess I’m glad I did photograph them though, just like most everything else…
