A few minutes after midnight this CN northbound is working hard, breaking the silence and briefly illuminating a misty McKechnie Lake underneath the stars at our makeshift campsite. It took a number of attempts to get the timing, exposure, and conditions right (clear sky, still waters...) for this one but persistence paid off and I was quite happy with the results.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
