For celebrating 125 years operation on the Gotthard line (openend in 1882), a doubleheaded steam train run from Bellinzona to Erstfeld. 4-6-0 express train steamlocomotive A 3/5 # 705, which is leading the consist, was not a mountain locomotive, but for fast passenger trains on lower grades, but 2-10-0 C 5/6 # 2978 "Elephant", the second engine, was especially built for freight trains on the Gotthard. The train is crossing the 103 meter long Polmengo viaduct over the Ticino river between Faido and Rodi-Fiesso, on a grade of 2.6 %.
