The Iowa Northern's North Crew swing around the curve as they drop down into the southside of Shell Rock. The job is a healthy 88 cars today mainly made up of CP empties bound for Nora Springs, IANR empties, and a few freight cars. The crew will do work at Butler, the next stop about 8 miles ahead. Kind of an odd 3 unit GP 38 lashup today, as not slugs are found. A few ex-Rock Island signals can still be found here and there along the route.
