After disembarking passengers and making its positioning moves, Metra Heritage Corridor train #917 makes its shove move to the Washington Street Coach Yard. METX 107 and 402 make for a neat doubleheader this evening. In a lot of ways, this looks like your ordinary, run of the mill Metra train. On the contrary, it's quite uncommon to see two Metra units running back to back on a revenue train. 402, the State of Illinois unit, was bound for 47th, but with the Saint Charles Air Line in Chicago (the usual route to 47th) out of service, it was time to take the long way.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
