Peaking out of the shadows, a Slaton, TX to Denver, CO manifest train starts to get up to speed down the northern slope of the Palmer Divide after climbing over the 7,200' summit. The train takes main track two, which is controlled by Union Pacific dispatchers from Palmer Lake to Littleton, CO with automatic block signals (ABS) and track warrants. Main one in the same section is controlled by BNSF dispatchers with Centralize Traffic Control (CTC) and Positive Train Control (PTC).
