Maydelle after dark. Our 2019 Lerro Productions Charter at the Texas State Railroad started with some daylight runbys at the Maydelle Depot, simulating a freight picking up orders on the fly. Here's virtually that same scene, except without benefit of the sunlight. First, charter guru Pete Lerro poured a ton of hot lights onto the depot in Maydelle, TX, and posed TRG #30 and her photo freight for the still photographers. After doing the static poses for perhaps 30 minutes, Pete typically does a few night run-bys for videographers. Instead of simply standing by and watching, a few of us still photographers decide to crank up our ISO and give it a try. Here's what the run-by looked like....at 10,000 ISO, 100th of a second and f/2.8.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
