R711 races down grade through the sand dunes in Warrnambool, running a local shuttle during the 'Warrnambool Westcoaster' day trip from Melbourne. In the late 90's/early 00's, R711 was used on revenue Saturday passenger services on this line by private operator West Coast Railway. The light blue headboard seen here on the loco is a relic from that time.
