A not so common meet, well in my eye's at least. It would have been 22 year in a matter of 3 months when the BNSF Holding Co. was formed after when this photo was taken, and even some 2 decades later you spirit of the fallen flags that made up BNSF lives on. On Railroad Days weekend in Galesburg excitement was truly on the rise as a pair of ex: Santa Fe C44-9W arrived in the BNSF Galesburg Terminal, and waits for permission to enter into the diesel shot lead, but to add the icing on top of the cake, a pair of Electro Motive Division Co. SD70ACe-T4 which came in from the west off the old BN pull along side of the old road worriers, and wait to enter the shop lead as well. What a wild experience especially for a southeast kid like myself to witness.
