At 66 years of age and looking resplendent in a new coat of point, Buckingham Branch GP 16 #8 rests in the bright late Spring sunshine awaiting its next assignment. The unit was built to GP 7 specifications for the ACL in 1951.
The "BB" was founded in 1988 and ran its first train on March 6, 1989. The BB has grown from 17 miles of track and two employees to 275 miles and 75 employees, spanning over Virginia in three separate divisions.
