Amtrak Cascades train 504 arrives in Seattle, Washington, about 30 minutes late on its run from Portland, Oregon, on January 23, 2017. Amtrak P42DC 163 is up front, powering this train (which consists of Talgo cars), while Non-Powered Control Unit 90250, rebuilt from Amtrak F40PH 250, brings up the rear. AMTK 90250 is wearing a special paint scheme for Seattle's football team, the Seahawks, and the train is, coincidently, about to pass Century Link Field (or, as the locals have dubbed it, "The Clink"), where the Seahawks play. (The bridge-like structure jutting out over the Amtrak shops is the support for the retractable roof for the city's baseball stadium, Safeco Field, where the Mariners play baseball.)
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
