A pair of Apache Railway units begin their run north to Holbrook to interchange 43 cars with the BNSF Railway. Unfortunately for us, the BNSF Railway did not drop off cars for the Apache Railway to return to Snowflake; which resulted in the two units to run lite back to the house. I consider myself very lucky to see the nearly hundred year old railroad still in operation, as operations have weakened down to about once a week. Yet, there are times where the Apache Railway will run seven days a week, like last week, but nothing like how it was when the paper mill was open. For now, we much enjoy what we have.
