With the purchase by Southern Shorthaul Railroad of 180 ex Pacific National coal hoppers that were previously used to load coal out of Leigh Creek, a transfer was organised to have these hoppers moved from the Port Augusta power station were they have been stored since late April 2016 to Lithgow in NSW. The only spare locos SSR had to operate this movement were S317, GM27, GM10 & S302 making for a quad bulldog lashup as they depart Port Augusta.
