I knew trains would be hard to come by on the former Milwaukee Road across South Dakota, but we caught up to this grain train at Morristown. After grabbing a shot there, we continued west and waited for it at the state highway 73 overpass just east of Thunder Hawk, SD. It was a race to see whether the train would show up before the sun fully set and luckily the train just barely won, making for a nice sight as they pulled uphill past a field of sunflowers. This section of the railroad hugs the state line and the grain bin in the distance is in North Dakota.
