The Palouse River & Coulee City RR's weekly "Grain Train" arrives at the co-load elevator in Thornton, WA on the former UP "Pleasant Valley" branch in the Palouse country of Eastern Washington. The empties it is delivering will be loaded overnight, and the crew will then return to their power and haul them off for a two-day trip to barge loading elevator at Wallula. The two silver locomotives are originally B&O GP-40s, but have also served a stint working for Amtrak, which explains their silver and black paint.
