If you wait long enough a train will come. We knew an NS freight from Columbia, S.C., went to Augusta, Ga., every night sometime after midnight, turned, and headed back to Columbia. Thus, we were set up just after midnight at the south end of the Savannah River bridge where NS tracks start several blocks of street running on Sixth Street. We waited patiently and at 3:58 a.m. we got the train passing the Augusta Museum of History.
