I wanted to get a few more pictures of WHOE 806 while I still could. All other non-used equipment the WHO&E owns has been scrapped, leaving this ex MILW FP7 as the lone non-running survivor.
Built in June of 1950, this 64 year old locomotive saw active freight duty until 5 or 6 years ago. She wears a NC&StL tribute paint scheme, though she was never on the roster of that railroad.
Various rumors circulate from time to time about moving her somewhere as a static display, but so far nothing has materialized, making you wonder how much longer she can escape the scrapper's torch.
