A Union Pacific coal train arcs through Big 10 Curve on the afternoon of June 9, 2013. In the foreground are two AC4400CWs being used as rear DPUs going through Eisele, Colorado. Directly below is the head end of the eastbound train approaching West Rocky. Three mid-train DPU locomotives can also be seen near the west end of the hopper car windbreak inside Big 10 Curve. Soon enough, the train will be in Denver‘s North Yard, allowing the brake shoes and dynamic brake grids to cool off a bit on this beautiful spring day.
