As the sun rises on Labor Day (9/2/13), the equipment from Amtrak #1, the westbound "Sunset Limited," rolls along the Los Angeles River to the shops after all the passengers have detrained. Due into Los Angeles at 5:35 am, the train actually arrived 50 mintues early, at 4:45 am! Coupled behind P42DC 9 is P42DC 42, which is making its first appearance in the "City of Angels" since being repainted to honor America's armed forces.
